Welcome to the Art Room! The philosophy behind the Diocese of Arlington’s art curriculum is based on the belief that each person is a unique creation, having worth as a child of God, and as a gift of God, possessing many talents. Our students develop an awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the order and beauty of God’s creation and of man-made works of art. Art is a visual language that can be read and understood by children and teachers alike as an important part of their response to beauty in God’s created world.
Student artwork is displayed in the Counsel Room and on our on-line gallery, Artsonia.com. You can view the on-line exhibits at anytime by visiting www.artsonia.com. Search for OLGC by entering in "Vienna Va" into the “Find School” search option. Click on Our Lady of Good Counsel School and view the exhibits. The easiest way to search for your child’s personal portfolio is to enter their screen name into the “Find Artist” search option. Please e-mail Mrs. Miller at amiller@olgcschool.org for your child’s screen name.
New artwork is uploaded on a weekly basis. You can sign up through the website to receive e-mail notification when your child has new artwork posted.
